Perfect Pullup FAQ's

  • What is the weight limit for the Perfect Pullup bar and rotating handles?
    • 300 lbs. It is made of high quality steel.
  • Is a drill required to install it?
    • A drill is recommended to drill pilot holes and a Phillips head screwdriver is needed to install the mounting brackets.
  • How wide and long is the mounting bracket that attaches to my door frame?
    • 2 inches wide by 4 inches tall.
  • How do the pullup handles mount on the bar?
    • They easily hang from the Perfect Pullup bar. The width can also be easily adjusted by just moving the handles on the bar.
  • How wide does the door need to be? Any limitations?
    • The Perfect Pullup fits into door frames ranging from 27” to 36” wide.
  • Can I shut my door after this is mounted into the doorway?
    • It depends how your door jamb is constructed. On some doors it will be easy to shut the door when the mounting brackets are installed. The Pullup bar is easily removed when not in use to allow you to walk through the door without obstruction.
  • Can the bar come off the hinges if it is not being used?
    • The bar and swing arms are easily dismounted and removed from the doorway when not in use. However, the mounting brackets still remain attached to the door frame.
  • How long are the screws?
    • 2 inches.
  • How do the Ab Straps attach to the bar?
    • They clip on with a sturdy Dring/ carabineer.
  • What is the weight limit on the Ab Straps?
    • 300 lbs
  • What is the Perfect Pullup bar made of?
    • Steel tubing
  • What are the main muscle groups the Perfect Pullup works?
    • Back/Lats, shoulders, arms, chest.
  • Is it also for women?
    • Yes. And, the arms swing down to make exercising easier by allowing pull-ups to be done on the floor.
  • Does the frame come with the Perfect Pullup?
    • No. The large frame in the show was for demonstration purposes. The Perfect Pullup easily installs into a standard door frame.
